The Guidance
The questions
What do we want students to be able to know, do, and appreciate and how do we know that students are achieving the intended learning outcomes? After implementing an assessment plan and measuring student learning outcomes, departments, programs, and units need to analyze the results obtained and use those results to make necessary changes or improvements to the unit or program.
The Assessment
Our goal
Provide (1) a clear plan for intended outcomes, (2) a description of how these outcomes are assessed and measured, (3) a description of the results obtained from these measures, and (4) a description of how these results validate current practices or point to changes needed to improve student learning.

How the Digital SAT Works
The SAT has two sections, Reading and Writing and Math, and takes 2 hours and 14 minutes, with a 10-minute break between sections. Each section is split into two modules. How a student does on the first module decides whether the second module is easier or harder, so every question counts.
- Reading and Writing: 54 questions in two 32-minute modules (64 minutes)
- Math: 44 questions in two 35-minute modules (70 minutes)
- Total: 98 questions in 2 hours 14 minutes
- Scores: 400–1600, with 200–800 for each section
How Our 1:1 SAT Prep Works
SAT prep at Mega College Prep is one-to-one and built around each student, not a fixed class schedule. We assess where your student stands, identify weak areas, build a study plan, and measure progress along the way. Lessons are shaped by our yearly analysis of the test, so students practice the question types that actually appear.
SAT Prep FAQ
When should my student start SAT prep?
Many students start in 10th grade or early 11th grade. That leaves time to take the SAT more than once before college application deadlines.
Should my student take the SAT or the ACT?
Colleges that require a test score accept either one. A practice test of each is the best way to see which format suits your student, and we can help you compare the results.
How many times can a student take the SAT?
Students can take the SAT more than once, and many colleges consider their highest scores. Planning test dates early leaves room to retake if needed.
